Design studies in France

Domaine de Boisbuchet, France

An inspiring place in the south of France

As part of the Arts Tasmania Design Fellowship, I travelled to Europe in August 2012 to attend a workshop under the direction of internationally recognised designers Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler (www.mischertraxler.com). A series of international workshops are run every summer in cooperation with the Centre Georges Pompidou and Vitra Design Museum. Designers, artists and even mathematicians from Taiwan, Mexico, Iceland, Australia and Europe came together to take part in “Transforming nature”.

My favourite building at Boisbuchet, the structure is made of brown paper-tubes
