What I do on Thursday nights…

my favourite place - letterpress workshop

One of my weeks’ highlight is the letterpress workshop night. An absolute privilege to have such a big choice of presses and letters (wodden and metal)  on my doorsteps. Its mechanical nature invites to work within restricted frames. Everything needs to be planned quite well before you do anything. Gill Bantoft, who runs the workshop, is fabulous and quite happily faces the challenge for new solutions.

This allows me to embrace the process and create some artwork, which will eventually be put together into an exhibition. It’s based around language, culture and identity.
